These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you ("you" or "End-User") and Teja Chedalla ("Developer," "we," "our," or "us") — not with Apple Inc. ("Apple") — governing your use of the Just Split Bills application (the "App," also referred to as "Just Split"), including any updates, supplements, or related services provided through the App.
By downloading, installing, or using the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:
You also agree to comply with all applicable terms of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/).
The Developer grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This licence does not allow you to make the App available on any device not owned or controlled by you, and you may not distribute or make the App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.
You may not rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicence, redistribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works of the App, in whole or in part, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Just Split Bills is an expense-splitting application that allows you to create groups, record shared expenses, calculate balances, and track settlements among group members. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use as an informal record-keeping tool.
Important: The App is not a financial service, payment processor, accounting system, or debt collection tool. Balance calculations and settlement suggestions are informational only and do not constitute financial obligations, invoices, or legally binding debts. The Developer is not responsible for any financial disputes between users.
The App may be used free of charge with the following limitations:

An annual subscription is available for $10.00 USD per year (or the equivalent in your local currency as determined by Apple) that unlocks:

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and device. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You must not share your account or allow others to access the App on your behalf.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
The Developer may, at its sole discretion, provide updates, bug fixes, and improvements to the App. The Developer is solely responsible for any maintenance and support services for the App, as specified in these Terms or as required by applicable law. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the App.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The Developer does not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any balance calculations, expense records, or other information provided through the App.
In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the Developer's sole responsibility.
The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of the App, including but not limited to:
All intellectual property rights in and to the App (including but not limited to the design, code, visual assets, logos, and trademarks) are owned by the Developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the Developer, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
You represent and warrant that:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
The Developer's total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App's subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ten U.S. dollars ($10.00), whichever is greater.
These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of their provisions. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies from your devices.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account within the App (Settings → Delete Account) and uninstalling the App. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID subscription settings.
You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App, including your wireless data service agreement and the terms of service for any third-party services integrated with the App (such as Firebase and Apple services).
You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at justsplitapp.com/privacy-policy. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where practicable, notify you via an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding your use of the App, and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, and representations.
